The right-handed batsmen had been ruled out of the next two matches and his place may be taken by James Vince. James Vince will, in all probability, open the innings for England. Eoin Morgan has developed a back spasm and his fitness is under the radar. There are very less chances of him making to the playing side in the next game. Moeen Ali is the most suited replacement for Morgan. Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root and Ben Stokes are all in great form for the England team, and their side will heavily depend on them to deliver.

AFGHANISTAN

Najibullah Zadran may most likely make his return to the playing side in the next game, at the cost of Asghar Afghan’s position in the playing team. While Afghan got out for a five-ball duck versus the Proteas, Zadran has been in a great form and has been the leading run-scorer of the tournament for his side. Noor Ali Zadran and Hazratullah Zazai have put up a good show so far but may need to be more consistent. Rahmat Shah will need to play his role well, to post a good total on the board.
He has scored a mere 8 runs in the last three innings. Apart from the one game, in which Mohammad Nabi picked 4 wickets, his form too seemed sloppy. Gulbadin Naib is another Afghan player, who hasn’t been able to leave his mark in any of the games yet. Rashid’s role will be most critical to the Afghanistan team, considering the conditions of the pitch, which promises to support the spinners.
